HOA Manager Tim Clay
Tim Clay is an affiliate broker with Apex Ventures. In addition to managing HOA’s, he also provides services as a REALTOR and residential property manager in Nashville, Smyrna, Brentwood, Hermitage, and the surrounding areas.
Before joining the Apex team, Tim was an independent marketing consultant and helped generate millions of dollars in revenue for his clients. His marketing experience is a valuable asset for clients who are selling their properties, and allows him to write persuasive letters when HOA boards need home owners to take action.
Below, Tim explains his philosophy on HOA Management:
“I believe that Homeowners Associations must be managed as a business. The Board acts as the CEO providing vision and instruction and I’m more of an Operations Manager. That said, I think too many HOA managers say, “yes”, to whatever a Board wants to do without providing professional advice. That’s not fair to the community as a whole, and it’s not fair to the Board either.
I believe that most Boards take their responsibility seriously and I will always do what I can to protect them and the HOA.”
Tim Clay is a member of the Community Associations Institute and received the designation of “Certified Manager of Community Associations” (CMCA) from the Community Association Managers International Certification Board.
